ON STRUCTURE
Orientation
Many environments are designed from eye level. Walls carry visual interest, shelves display objects, and lighting highlights what is meant to be seen.
Yet what holds the space together often exists beneath this field of vision.
Ground
The ground establishes orientation. When the foundation of a space is considered early, the arrangement above it begins to organize itself.
Structure begins where weight meets surface.
Stability
Without structure, elements appear temporary. They may be visually appealing but lack the stability that allows them to belong together.
Structure introduces permanence.
Balance
When a room possesses structure, balance emerges quietly. Nothing appears forced, and each element rests where it should.
The environment settles into itself.
Position
Blank Canvas Rug Gallery approaches form from the ground upward.
Structure allows everything else to exist with clarity.
